Day 1 Visit Great Wall of China & Summer Palace (click to expand/collapse)
Your private guide and driver will pick you up at downtown Beijing hotel to start your thrilling trip to the Great Wall of China. After about 1.5 to 2 hours ride, you will reach Mutianyu Section of the Great Wall, which is less crowded and more ideal to enjoy the landmark!
Hike 1-2 hours up the wall will be the highlight. Either taking an optional cable car or chair lift up the wall might be less exhausting however.
After a lunch at your own cost at a local restaurant, you will be transferred downtown to visit Summer Palace. It was an imperial garden first built in 1750 and renovated and expanded in different periods. It was a vast ensemble of lakes, gardens and palaces , covering an expanse of 2.9 square kilometres, three-quarters of which is water. Major attractions includes Longevity Hill, Kunming Lake, and Seventeen Hole Bridge.
It’s a great place to learn Chinese horticulture and landscaping.
Transfer back to your downtown Beijing hotel.
