This morning, see the vast Tiananmen Square and the extravagant Ming-era Imperial Palace in the Forbidden City, which was the royal residence of over 24 emperors of Ming Dynasty and Qing Dynasty since 1620 to 1911.

Today, experience a highlight of your trip, as you visit the renowned Great Wall. On the way, if traffic allows, stop to photograph the iconic “Bird’s Nest”, the Beijing National Stadium where hosted many spectacular events of the 2008 Summer Olympics. Then, arrive at the amazing Great Wall and walk along its ramparts as emperors once did. After lunch (on your own. Our guide will offer recommendations however.), visit the elegant Summer Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage site, with the largest imperial garden in the world. The grounds include over 3,000 structures with a variety of pavilions, towers and arched bridges surrounding Lake Kunming (enjoy a boat ride if weather permits).
This evening, perhaps, join an optional Beijing Duck dinner (extra cost).

Today, fly to historic Xi’an, former capital of 13 different dynasties over 1100 years across China history. you will be met by our local driver and transferred to your downtown Xi’an hotel. Afterward, visit Beiyuanmen Muslim Street and the Grand Mosque. The local market offers a great selection of Chinese Muslim cuisine and craftsmanship. Then take a guided tour to the City Wall. An Tang Dynasty Dance Show with dumpling banquet is optional for the night.

See the extraordinary 8,000 Terracotta Warriors in all 3 pits built over 2,200 years and only discovered by accident in 1974 by a local villagering digging a well ; visit the tomb site where the first emperor of China, Qin Shi Huang Di, was buried and see two Bronze Chariots entombed for the Emperor’s afterlife pleasure. Then a tour to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda follows.

Morning at leisure. Later, fly to Guilin, set amidst a valley of dramatic peaks that have inspired artists through the centuries. Pickup upon arrival and transfer to downtown Guilin hotel. Free time on your own.

Today, enjoy a scenic cruise along the Li River with a stop in Yangshuo, a small county diverse in culture and exotic flavors. The remainder of the day is at leisure. Later, board a private vehicle for a drive back to Guilin.

Experience Guilin’s local minorities and the “Palace of Natural Arts:” Reed Flue Caves’stalactites, stalagmites, stone pillars and stone curtains in shapes of birds, plants and animals, all glistening in colorful lights. Later, fly to the cosmopolitan city of Shanghai. Pickup upon arrival and trnasfwer to downtown Shanghai hotel.

Visit Oriental Pearl Tower, the third tallest TV Tower in the world, to have a panoramic view of the Huangpu River. Then walk around Yu Garden, a renowned traditional Chinese garden to get savor the essence of Chinese gardening art. Enjoy a leisure stroll on the Bund showcasing historical foreign buildings from colonial times.

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your departing flight home/onward.
